Eating Up Huckabee

Time magazine summarizes the Huckabee campaign:

But then Huckabee won in Iowa, not barely, but by 9 points. He crushed Mitt Romney, despite the Mitt machine, a massive campaign organization that ruled the August straw poll and dropped nasty mailers like confetti.

Remember, this is only the beginning. Fight on.

HUCKABEE FLIPS ON IMMIGRATION

If immigration is important to you as it is to me, listen to what Mike Huckabee said before it became a hot button issue. I don't mind him changing his position (well kinda - shows a lack of integrity), but it's pretending that he never took that position which disappoints. Say it ain't so, check the citing below.

“‘I do believe some of it is driven by racism or nativism,’ he said of the opposition within his party to Mr. Bush's view that illegal aliens should not be deported but rather fined and eventually allowed U.S. citizenship. ‘It's not amnesty to make people pay for breaking the law,’ Mr. Huckabee said.”

www.fred08.com - Don't take my word for it, check out the issues page, especially where the nominee's positions are examined against Fred Thompson's record. There is a reason why Thompson doesn't need a "Truth Squad," or has to spend his time in debates clarifying his positions - past or present. Also notice Thompson doesn't resort to negative attack ads, the quote above is a matter of public record. I urge you to do your homework, the stakes are high!!

Huckabee has always said that the immigration problem was a problem of irresponsible US government that failed to enforce the law. That hasn't changed. He still says that children shouldn't be punished for the crime of the parent. And, are you really saying that SOME (as in "not all" or "not even most)of the hostility over immigration ISN'T driven by racism and nativism?

That isn't descriptive of some Americans, specifically. That's descriptive of HUMAN NATURE. Last time I checked, Americans WERE humans.

Why do people vote for politiians. People always dont want to vote for politians, but they always do. Then finally, someone comes that is not a politian. Huckabee is not a politian. Even non-christians should vote for the Huckster. Huckabee has integrity and honesty. Let's do America a favor and vote for him!

Huckster is a career politician, he's spent 10+ years in politics. So using the politician reasoning Thompson should be your man.

Thompson ran in 1994 on a pledge to serve only two terms, and he lived up to his word. He believes like many Americans part of the problem w/ Washingon is it is being run by a bunch of "Career Politicians," like Mike.

If you do very little homework on Mike you will see he has changed positions on immigration, the surge in Iraq, taxes, and foriegn policy. Mike is such a politician his campaign cronies are running anti-Thompson push-polling in SC, and starting rumors Thompson will be out after SC and he's only in it to help McCAin. No, my friend your boy is a politician, and a smooth one at that, wake up !!
